Our Owners
Anyone can shop at Fare Share, but when you join, you own it! Numbering over 150 (and growing), our owners are as diverse as our community. They range in age from 0 to 92 and live in over 20 towns in Maine, from Portland to Bethel, and from Auburn to Fryeburg. Owners hold equity in our cooperative. They vote at semi-annual member meetings, and also contribute to the co-op’s health and vitality with their shopping dollars and their presence in the store. Anyone can become a Fare Share owner.
